A member of AHPK must not accept any assignment or engage in any practice involving a violation of the law, this Code or the member's specific ethical responsibilities.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Members shall confer with clients in sufficient detail and gather sufficient facts before accepting an engagement.
2. Members shall hold confidential all client information gathered during professional engagement.
3. Members shall advise clients of any significant reservations regarding anticipated benefits.
4. Members shall not promise any benefit outside their control.
INDEPENDENCE, OBJECTIVITY AND INTEGRITY
Members shall assume an independent position with the client and provide advice based on impartial consideration of facts and responsible opinions.
